Sonja Rzepski
Sonja started her yoga teaching journey at the Samahita Yoga Institute in Thailand. She is certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the International Association of Yoga T.herapists. She translates her yoga, and exercise training to empower people in such capacities as ashtanga yoga, cardiac care, meditation, trauma recovery, and professional athletic performance.
Originally she learned Ashtanga yoga under the guidance of Eddie Stern, and Saraswati Jois in India. Sonja revels in the immersion of different healing traditions. A grad of Prema Therapeutics Yoga Institute in the study of Medical Yoga and Ayurveda in New York City.
She is eternally thankful to all her teachers and coaches and believes we can all live in peace, physically and energetically, if we move forward with patience and a life affirming attitude. Inspired by an idea from her son Sam, Sonja helped him create the Enter Grace Yoga, a non-for-profit that brings yoga to under served schools in Harlem and the Bronx. She now has been accepted to Vermont Law school to study environmental justice. Sonja believes that to find harmony within, we must also all support the wellness and harmony of the world for future generations. She looks forward to exploring this next adventure of advocating for a healthier tomorrow for all of us, from the individual, the natural world, and a healthy global community.
